He then told the adventurer that they needed to search for the other six elven clan leaders, as Arianwyn was actually Lord Cadarn. Although the ritual required the elven clan leaders, Iestin stated that he would replace Lord Iorwerth, having known the magic for the ritual. Iestin was convinced and joined the rebel elves.Īfter routing the mourners from West Ardougne, the adventurer returned the two elves, where Arianwyn suggested they regrow the city before Lord Iorwerth could. Arianwyn then told the adventurer to return to Ardougne, and informed Iestin of their true motives while they were gone. Although Iestin could stall Lord Iorwerth for some time, he knew someone more complacent would replace him once Iorwerth suspected he was intentionally stalling. Upon skimming through the plan, he was horrified to learn that Lord Iorwerth intended to kill the population of West Ardougne, stating that he wouldn't have worked with him if he knew, and that although he considered humans to be lesser beings, he believed that they deserved some rights. Upon returning, Iestin was surprised they managed to acquire the master plan, but decided to read it first. The adventurer does so, and also takes the time to steal the master plan from the mayor's table after informing the mayor that the guards were giving her food to the people. Seeing that he had a few guards at his disposal, he gave the adventurer his report, telling them to give it to the Mayor of Prifddinas. Iestin was frustrated that he had no idea what Lord Iorwerth's plan was, stating that he'd work faster if he knew what it was. The adventurer asked him a few questions.

He also authored the report from Within the Light, which is found by the adventurer and brought to Arianwyn. Some of Iestin's research had led him to the conclusion that Lord Iorwerth had somehow broken one of the 9 seals that Seren put in place to protect the Grand Library from the hands of men. Not very much was said about Iestin, but it was said that he spends a lot of time in libraries in Prifddinas researching elven history. He was first mentioned in Edern's journal.
